You’ve probably come here for information about A LIFE’S WORK, and goodness knows there’s plenty of that here, but did you know that I am currently in production on a new film! Yes, it’s true. And this one won’t take me 15 years to complete. I’m hoping I’ll finish this by the end of 2026 (famous last words).
The film is tentatively called LUTHIER, but I may change that to I MAKE GUITARS. It is a short documentary about Robert Vincent, who makes exceptionally fine, sought-after classical guitars. Robert developed his skill and passion for guitar building while incarcerated. His story, like his guitars, is beautiful, and I think you’ll enjoy it.
Two shoots are in the can, and a third (and possibly last) shoot is being planned as I write this. Robert lives and works in San Diego, so the shoots wind up being expensive.
The two grants the project received covered the two shoots, and I’m raising funds for the upcoming shoot.
