Here’s one of my favorite jokes.
A cowboy and his horse are sitting around a campfire at the end of a long day of driving cattle. The cowboy takes a sip of strong coffee and says to the horse, “Well, you know, you’re reliable and get the job done. Sometimes you start the day a little slow and you’re not so focused–”
“Feedbag!” the horse yelled. “Feedbag, not feedback!”
We can forgive this cowboy because he misheard, but sometimes people with good hearing will offer feedback when it hasn’t been asked for. In case you are one of those people (I think most people who read this blog are not unwanted feedback givers), here’s some advice: oh wait, you didn’t ask for advice. Nevermind, I’ll just hold my tongue.
Here’s a photo of real cowboys (and cowgirls) on real horses on a real cattle drive in Summer Lake, Oregon. Also, there are dogs.
