What’s the point of having a blog if you don’t post lists? And what’s the point of early January if you don’t compile a “best” or “most popular” list? So, in keeping with the insular nature of this blog, here are this blog’s ten most visited posts of 2009. Are they the best posts? Who am I to say?
- Paolo Soleri at Dome House: A Clip
- Thank You
- Why Artist Residencies
- SETI’s Jill Tarter on Gender Bias in the 1950s: A Clip
- It’s Artist Residency Time!
- The Long Haul
- Mike Disfarmer and A Life’s Work
- The Luxury of Simplicity
- “I must have more shots of the military!”
- Brooklyn, Take Pride!
I’m not sure how to interpret this. I have a suspicion that people like moving images, so that explains the clips, but people seem interested in the artist residency posts, too.
Do you have a favorite? Would you like to see me write about something I haven’t covered? I like hearing from you, so let me know.
Haroon
I have a suspicions that people like seeing their name in print, hence the Thank You post being the second most popular vote.
Are you going to do a “Best Movies of 2009” post?
David Licata
I suspect you are correct.
Best of 2009? No. Best of that decade? Heck yeah! On the other blog.

I can hear your objections already. But post them on E.C.
